I take photographs to make life worth living. It's easy to fall into a mundane routine and stop seeing the beauty of the world around you. I feel that after seeing a great image, it changes how you look at everything. To me, a photo is most effective when a simple glance is able to evoke emotion and even trigger life experiences or thought, as is done with artistic pieces. Perhaps next time that simple walk to the bus stop will put you in an unending state of awe of the beautiful of things you easily overlooked. My goal is to open people's minds and show them a world in which rules don’t apply. Beauty is defined differently by everyone and I hope my images convey how I define it.
It all starts with a single idea, from which all others follow. I try to make an idea come to life and then run with it. If asked what inspires me I would say life and the mystery of it. We all know that we are here but no one is certain as to why. To capture a moment is to investigate life and what really makes us alive. I believe happiness revolves around excitement and looking forward to what's ahead. If we lose that then what makes life worth living when there is nothing worth sticking around for? When people look at my work I want them feel like they have been invited into the image and walk away feeling as though they have profoundly learned something from it.”
